Here is a quick rundown of our flightpath this year to date:
🚀 Since launching in Dec 2019, we’ve grown our platform to $25m+ in funds under management, and with $15m being invested this year so far. For us this has meant raising and deploying capital in 13 companies so far. Allowing investors to build their own early-stage investment thesis and providing access to invest in highly curated venture deals.
🌏 We’ve invested globally and are proud of our TEN13 portfolio mix supporting founders domiciled across Australia, US, Africa, and soon South East Asia.
💰 Our average amount per investor has grown to $115k. Seeing an increase in interest from both angels and family offices to participate in our deal-by-deal VC offering.
🥂 We are ramping up in-person events with last month’s Melbourne founder and investor events kicking off our Australia-wide push to reengage with the community across founders, supporters and investors. Next stop — Brisbane and Sydney.

Building out a Platform
Our goal at TEN13 is to build out a platform to navigate the complexities of executing a venture investment business in Australia and investing in global companies.
Now, the second leg of our journey is to work with emerging managers to give them access to investors, resources, and a platform to launch deals and grow their own brand and reputation. More on this soon!
This year so far we’ve rolled out consistent improvements to our email portal, given investors access to their investment data, and increased our reporting capability to make more informed decisions around the investments we make.

Chipper Cash Series $100m Series C
Chipper Cash has announced their $100m Series C led by Silicon Valley Bank in Tech Crunch yesterday. Only 3 years after being founded.
Chipper Cash after this round of funding is one of Transition Level’s & TEN13’s largest portfolio companies to date. This Series C round marks our 6th investment into the company since pre-seed.
Ham & Maijid (co-founders) continue to show they are world-class operators and this marks SVB’s first investment into the African Market since inception in 1983.
Carted Raises AU$13m Seed Led By Blackbird
Our portfolio company Carted has closed a Seed round led by Blackbird Ventures with participation from TEN13, Tidal, Streamlined Ventures, Grok Ventures — this comes only months after raising their pre-seed round led by us at TEN13 late last year.
Carted is building the rails for the next generation of e-commerce infrastructure allowing you purchase goods anywhere.
Holly & Mike have moved down to Sydney to their new office in Surry Hills, and of course, they are currently hiring.
Mr Yum Raises $11m Post-Seed Led By TEN13
We have continued supporting Mr Yum in their Post-Seed round leading their post-seed round and we welcome Airtree, Patty Mills, Andrew Banks, and others who have joined us as supporters to help Mr Yum launch their beautiful QR Menu ordering to the US and UK this quarter.

Clipchamp Hits 16m Users
Clipchamp talked to The Australian about being a startup to watch in Australia and revealed they recently grew to 16m users over the last 12 months.
They also talk about how they have tripled their team to 89 people during COVID.
